Once in a while we work on wedding that not only includes beautiful flowers and creative detail, but also our dear friends. This was true on May 2, 2009 when we watched Frank Cormany and Sarah Sirry tie the knot.
We traveled more then 2.5 hours to the Charlottesville area to watch these two walk down the aisle and Rachel stood in line with 8 other bridesmaids while they said their vows.
The wedding was set at Veritas in Afton, VA and turned out spectacularly, if we do say so ourselves. Sarah chose a simple combination of white and green flowers to accent the taupe colored bridesmaid dresses and gorgeous scenery. Her bouquet included lily of the valley grown in her future mother-in-law's own garden and white peonies. Frank's boutonnière was personalized with a fishing lure, capturing his penchant for all this fishing.
The bridesmaid's bouquets included vendala roses, white astilbe, white lisanthus, bells of Ireland, and white lisianthus.
For the large room, we created centerpieces of local dogwood branches (also the flower of VA) with curly willow and river rocks. The base of the centerpieces were surrounded by tufts of bells of Ireland.
We only hope that Frank & Sarah's life together will be as magical as this special day. Congratulations to you both!!
