Summer Lovin'

Oh the joys of summer love! Long days, warm nights, and crisp rains lead to lovely colors and gorgeous gardens. For Sarah Dumont's wedding on June 20th, 2009 we combined pinks, yellows, blues, whites, and greens to create an elegant, colorful, and simple look for her Middleburg, VA wedding.

The rehearsal dinner took place at the Blackthorne Inn in Upperville, VA. We put together groupings of mason jars filled with light, airy garden flowers to add color and dress up the event.

These arrangements were used at the cocktail reception the following day and were also duplicated for the dinner tables. A great way to get more bang for your buck and reuse those flowers!

For the head table, we placed blue hydrangea in glavanized buckets, which doubled as altar arrangments during the ceremony the following day.

At the ceremony, we tied small buckets filled with green hypericum berries and blue hydrangea tufts to the pews.

The reception took place at the Red Fox Inn in Middleburg, VA. Although the tent came outfitted with white paper lanterns, we added extra color to the tent with blue and yellow lanterns, which also matched the table linens.

For this arrangement, we used granny smith apples to add color to the glass pitcher, while using white hydrangea to complete this summer look.

A study in white, this arrangement included white hydrangea, vendala roses, and white stock sitting atop a rustic bowl--adding to the charm and garden-feel of the event.
